Your backgrounds are all so very detailed and lovely ahhh <333 I honestly can say you definitely can come up with some amazing storylines!
what brush do you use when you are drawing your backgrounds?

smudging helps a lot XD for painting backgrounds for big images, i never use the smudge/texture tools. but for quick backgrounds like this for animation, i just tend to make a gradient, use the dodge/burn tool for the shapes in the background, and smudge them so they look somewhat realistic o30 it's not a very good way to add color but i'm too lazy to care. xD

haha trust me you are definitely not lazy if you can produce such a exquisite and wicked animations so quickly! That seems like a pretty simple way and i'll have to give it a try myself. I have been practicing drawing Trees and rocks and things and its basically just ground or walls that needs help xD Thank you so much for explaining, if you don't mind me asking, do you by chance have a skype?
